FPSO MV16 Laying up description:

Thien Nam Offshore Services JSC. (TOS) has taking over the FPSO Stybarrow Venture MV16 from 15th Sept 2015 at Vung Tau anchorage area – H8 position.

TOS has a staff of experienced professionals with the veteran captains, highly specialized engineers, already towed and brought the MV16 FPSO vessel from Exmouth, off the northwest Australian coast to anchorage area of ​​Vung Tau in Sept 2015.

After the MV16 FPSO is riding on her starboard anchor with 9 shackles on deck in H8 position – Vung Tau anchorage – Viet Nam, the TOS staff was quick to fabricate and installation of very good FPSO’s port side gangway for personnel transfer on/off the FPSO.

TOS staff also installed portable generator system, accommodation for crew and sub-contractor workers, lighting system, bilge alarm systems, dehumidifier system, etc. to make sure the FPSO are in good condition during laying up in Vung Tau anchorage area.

TOS also worked with the subcontractor VTMS and Clean Environment Company to carry out the collection of garbage, the oily waste, and sludge in all cargo tanks and slop tanks, and transported to shore for disposal.

With a team of professional seafarers, MV16 FPSO is guaranteed for the safe anchorage at Vung Tau anchorage area. The anchor watch, safety watch and security watch are closely maintained on board FPSO and strictly following the TOS Safety Management System (SMS), Anchor Watch Procedure with all the check lists.

Also, the crew on board conducts maintenance of equipment and machinery on MV16 FPSO vessel and ensure all the devices are in good condition. For the rotating engine motor, crew members frequently work against rust sanitary, rotary engines regularly and lubrication. For the electric motor and panel, crew always check the insulation of the engine phase to earth, check the resistance between phases to phase. For the power board/ panel, crew regularly checks the desiccant pack, ensure the power board/ panel in good condition maintenance.

Crew always check around ship for fire prevention, testing and trials the emergency fire pump to ensure the machine is always in a state of operational readiness. Also, the Emergency Generator always be checked by daily and ensure operational readiness.
